In 1991 Jim Thibaud and Tommy Guerrero quit their board sponsor at the time and started Real Skateboards with the support of the co-founder of Thrasher Magazine and Independent Trucks, Fausto Vitello.

Real is known for being very supportive towards the skateboard community and people in need and that's why we love them so much!
